Do I need to pay online to book?
No. Loucar is request-to-book: you send a request, the agency confirms, and you pay at pick-up in dirhams. We never ask for card details on the site.
Why is the deposit shown everywhere?
Because it is the number one source of disputes in Morocco. The amount held on your card, the insurance excess, the included mileage, the fuel policy and the minimum age are on every listing, before you even click.
How quickly does the agency reply?
Around 20 minutes on average. An agency has 30 minutes before we chase it and 60 minutes before the request expires — at which point we automatically show you other cars available on the same dates.
Do I need an international driving permit?
A national licence in Latin script (French, Spanish, English…) is accepted in Morocco for tourist stays. If yours uses another script, bring an international permit.
Can I cancel?
Yes, free of charge up to 24h before pick-up on the large majority of cars. The exact window is stated on each listing.
Which car for the desert or the Atlas?
Paved roads to Merzouga, Ouarzazate or Imlil are fine in a city car. For unpaved tracks, take a 4x4 and check that mileage is unlimited.
